Terms of service
The contract for using LiftLander - accounts, acceptable use, and what happens if the relationship ends.
1. Acceptance
By creating a LiftLander account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that company.
2. The service
LiftLander is a CRO/A-B testing platform: Bayesian statistical testing, AI-assisted copy and creative generation, multi-language localization, and multi-site management. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We'll tell you about changes that materially reduce what your plan includes.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use LiftLander. You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity under your account. Use a strong password and tell us immediately at legal@liftlander.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Workspace admins control who has access and at what role (Admin, Editor, Reviewer, Viewer. See Security).
4. Plans, billing, and trials
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full feature access, no card required. If you don't upgrade, your account moves to a limited/paused state at trial end; nothing is charged automatically.
Paid plans are billed monthly based on live connected sites and tested visitors (real, unique visitors included in an active test during the billing period. Raw hits and bot traffic don't count) at the rate for your plan tier. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't offer prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
Enterprise plans (custom SSO, SLA, dedicated infrastructure) are governed by a separate order form, which takes precedence over this section for that account.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use LiftLander to:
- Test or collect data on a site you don't have the legal right to modify or track visitors on
- Collect special-category personal data (health, biometric, etc.) without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the product outside an agreed partner arrangement
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security controls
- Upload content you don't have rights to, or that's unlawful, deceptive, or infringing
6. Your data and content
You own the content you upload (copy, images, glossaries) and the test data collected from your sites. You grant us a license to process it solely to provide the service: run tests, generate AI variants, compute statistics. For visitor data collected via your tests, you are the data controller and we process it as your processor, per our Privacy policy and, where applicable, a data processing agreement.
You're responsible for having a lawful basis and, where required, visitor consent to run tests and collect data on your own site. LiftLander gives you the tools, but your site's compliance with privacy law is your responsibility.
7. AI-generated content
AI features generate suggestions, including copy variants, creative, and winner analysis, using third-party AI models. We don't guarantee AI output is accurate, brand-appropriate, or compliant with any law that applies to you. Review AI-generated content before publishing it.
8. Intellectual property
LiftLander, our logo, and the product itself are our intellectual property. These terms don't grant you any rights to our IP beyond using the service as intended.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
LiftLander is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific test result, lift, or business outcome will occur. Statistical confidence is not a guarantee of real-world performance.
To the extent permitted by law, LiftLander's total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or lost data.
10. Termination
You can cancel anytime from account settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, we'll retain your data per our Privacy policy retention schedule, then delete it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction - pending confirmation], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Changes to these terms
We'll post material changes here and update the date below, and notify account holders by email for significant changes. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
